Why I built this
I kept missing things
happening in my own backyard.
Living in the Upper Valley, I knew there was a thriving community around me — farmers markets, trail runs, art shows, local concerts, new businesses opening up. But finding out about them meant checking six different Facebook groups, three town websites, and hoping someone had posted a flyer at the co-op.
I wanted one place. Somewhere you could open a tab on a Monday morning and actually know what was happening that week — not just in one town, but across the whole region. Hanover, Lebanon, White River Junction, Norwich, Woodstock, Bradford. The Upper Valley doesn't stop at the state line, and neither should a good community resource.
So I built it. Upper Valley Connections is an independent site — no VC funding, no corporate overlords, just a local person who wanted something better for this community. I hope it becomes the first tab you open on a Friday when you're figuring out the weekend.
